Fr. Karl's Monthly Newsletter
July 29, 2009
Dear Friends:
Here comes August already! Our grounds are just
bursting in color thanks to Herb Tutkowski who
cares for the Butterfly Garden and Genora Kuchar
for her beautiful flowerbeds on the parking lot
and rectory entrance.
Fr. Robert Koti will be with us August 29th
and 30th. He will be bringing the annual
mission message from our “Sister Parish”,
Immaculate Heart of Mary in Ghanta Liberia. Please
give him a hearty welcome as was done on his
visit last year.
It’s almost “Back to School Time” for
our Christian Formation classes starting up in
September. Please watch the bulletin for detailed
information for registrations. Our goal is to
register 100% of our grade and high school students.
Parents, godparents, grandparents and neighbors,
we are counting on you to be the prime recruiters.
We thank all who have responded to the “Faith
in Our Future” campaign.
To date 225 parish households have pledged $237,470 for the three-year campaign. Remember, the parish
receives 60% of the funds and the Archdiocesan
ministries for Faith Formation and Education
receive 40%. Our local projects are a drive through
canopy for the Church entrance, enclosing the
stairs and entrance to the hall from the parking
lot, and re-roofing the church/school building.
Watch for a follow-up reminder coming in the
mail for those who have not yet responded.
Have you ever thought of being a Minister
of hospitality? That’s another
word for “usher”.
We can use your services, men and women. Ushers
greet visitors, help seat attendees, take up
the collection, guide the flow at communion time
and distribute the bulletins after mass. If you
can help please call Art Stueck at 414-453-7824
or Fr. Karl 453-5192.
Peace
