Elizabeth Ministry
Contact:
Dorothy Wutt (262) 782-8768
This formation program empowers participants to develop a passion for justice, to find concrete ways to address justice and peace issues, to form small “base” communities and to become agents of social change. There are several team meetings to prepare for these sessions. Our purpose is to affirm the sacredness of new life and to support families especially in their childbearing years. We present each newly baptized child with a gift bag containing a handmade personalized bib, prayer scroll, an age appropriate bible storybook, and health care and parenting tips. We encourage our ministers to re-contact families in 4 to 6 weeks.

Homebound patients with medical problems may request a home visit. While parish nurses do not usually provide hands on care, they will do vital signs, assess patients’ progress, concerns, and needs, and contact physicians. Prayer and Eucharist are offered with visits.

Re-Connecting Catholics
Contact:
Andy Kukec 453-5192
This formation program empowers participants to develop a passion for justice, to find concrete ways to address justice and peace issues, to form small “base” communities and to become agents of social change. There are several team meetings to prepare for these sessions. The Re-Connecting Catholics Team works with Catholics who want to re-explore their relationship with God and/or the Church, both as an institution and as a community of faith. Often these persons have been only occasional in church participation, if at all. People who have themselves questioned their own faith or who have been inactive and have since returned to active participation are especially helpful on this team. Team members need to be good listeners, non-judgmental of others and willing to share their faith.

St. Vincent DePaul
Contact:
TBA
The St. Vincent de Paul Conference of the parish bears witness to Christ and the goals of St. Vincent de Paul Society through its many forms of service to the parish and its neighbors. Service projects include filling requests for food, furniture, and other necessities for the area’s less fortunate; providing outreach to residents of nursing facilities; a clothing drive; and addressing various needs of our parishioners. The conference sponsors the IHM Food Pantry. It also works in conjunction with the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Greater Milwaukee for the benefit of the wider community. Parishioners of all ages are invited to join this ministry. We meet every other week for about 1-1/2 hours in addition to the time spent on ministry projects.
