The Parish Leadership ministries are ideal for those who thrive in leadership positions. These committees require assertiveness, thoughtfulness, and consideration of how business decisions will affect the West Allis Tri-Parish Cluster and the IHM family as well as those in our surrounding community. Individuals considering these ministries should also have an understanding of the Christian mission.

West Allis Tri-Parish Pastoral Council
Mary Mayberry (Chair) (414) 328-5566

This new Pastoral Council is comprised of six elected members from each of the three member parishes, together with ex-officio members including the pastors and the trustees from each of the three parishes.
The Tri-Parish Pastoral Council empowers, enlightens, and supports the Cluster parish community by forming and implementing broad goals, objectives, and plans to carry out the Tri-Parish Mission. The council also forms and approves Cluster policies, and reviews and approves the annual operating budgets. Parishioners who wish to be leaders in the parish are encouraged to consider this ministry. Pastoral Council members accept a three-year commitment. Membership is through self-nomination or nomination by another parishioner when Council vacancies are announced. The Council meets monthly, and each member is encouraged to serve as a liaison for  other Cluster parish committees by attending their regular meetings.

Our Community Building ministries serve as catalysts to invite and welcome people to IHM.  These committees are ideal for those who like to organize and plan, and who take pride in extending a sense of hospitality to others.
IHM Senior Social Club:
Mary Margaret Marshall, President

Anyone over 50 years is welcome. We meet once a month on the third Tuesday and gather at 11:30 am in the parish hall. We serve dessert and coffee followed by a brief meeting. Then we break into groups for either bingo or cards and our meetings are over by 3 p.m. There are no meetings in January, February and August.

Welcoming and Community Development Committee
This Committee is looking for leadership!
The Welcoming Committee hosts several fellowships activities throughout the year, such as Easter Vigil, Pentecost, and Welcome Weekend, following our weekend liturgies. This ministry provides an opportunity for new members meet others in the parish community. Responsibilities include ordering refreshments, setup, serving and clean up.

Festival Committee
Mary Kochanik (414) 321-1034
The Festival Committee is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the parish festival, which is over the Memorial Day weekend. Meetings are held during the months immediately prior to the Festival. Committee members assist with activities including, but not limited to, adult and children games, advertising, beverage, tent, electric service, finance, food, parking, raffle tickets, security, and setup/take down. This is a “fun” activity and greatly benefits the parish.

Women’s Ministry
Mary Margaret Marshall (262) 786-9542

The Women’s Ministry seeks to unite the women of the parish in social activities. Specific activities include the Spring Luncheon, Parish Pot-luck, Christmas Craft and Cookie sales, Rummage Sales, Agape Holy Thursday meal, and the Craft group. The Women’s Ministry also provides setup, preparation, serving, and cleanup for a funeral reception or luncheon on request.

When God stops being our constant
companion when we are lonely,
and stops helping us to pull together
the broken pieces of our lives
when loved ones are taken from us,
then we can stop giving.

Fr. J. Glenn Murray, S.J.
