PARISH LEADERSHIP
The Parish Leadership ministries are ideal for those who thrive in leadership positions. These committees require assertiveness, thoughtfulness, and consideration of how business decisions will affect the IHM family as well as those in our surrounding community. Individuals considering these ministries should also have an understanding of the Christian mission.

Pastoral Council
Contact:
Katie Riley 414-258-9738

The Pastoral Council empowers, enlightens, and supports the parish community by forming and implementing broad goals, objectives, and plans to carry out the parish mission. The council also forms and approves parish policies, and reviews and approves the annual operating budget. Parishioners who wish to be leaders in the parish are encouraged to consider this ministry. Pastoral Council members accept a three-year commitment. Membership is through self-nomination or nomination by another parishioner when Council vacancies are announced. The Council meets monthly, and each member is encouraged to serve as a liaison for other parish committees by attending their monthly meetings.

Anyone over 50 years is welcome. We meet once a month on the third Tuesday and gather at 11:30 am in the parish hall. We serve dessert and coffee followed by a brief meeting. Then we break into groups for either bingo or cards and our meetings are over by 3 p.m. There are no meetings in January, February and August.

When God stops being our constant
companion when we are lonely,
and stops helping us to pull together
the broken pieces of our lives
when loved ones are taken from us,
then we can stop giving.

Fr. J. Glenn Murray, S.J.
